I appreciate that taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting and take courage. Whether you're facing challenges, seeking personal growth, or simply need someone to talk to, I'm here to support you. Feel free to reach out to schedule a session or to inquire about any questions you may have.
I am a dedicated and compassionate counsellor committed to supporting you on your journey toward emotional well-being and personal growth. I offer a safe and non-judgmental space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and any challenges you may face.
Our individual counseling services are designed to help you overcome personal challenges and achieve your goals. Our licensed counselors provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, gain insights into your behavior, and develop strategies for positive change.
Working through a couples conflict(s) and finding the way through the fog that sits between them. If part of the relationship goals, we work towards developing new balanced systems so that the equilibrium is restored. Or, in some cases, work amicably towards a relationship ending.
You can expect a confidential and non-judgemental space to openly discuss your thoughts and feelings. I am here to listen attentively and work collaboratively to enhance self-awareness, develop coping strategies and build a foundation for positive change to occur.
Incorporated into my integrative model of practice are a number of Trauma Focused tools specifically used to support those seeking to work through how their life experience has manifested. This starts with stabilisation, but works towards scaffolding clients using resourcing with the potential to incorporate techniques such as Rewind or (coming soon) EMPR practices.
Neurodiversity support for those seeking to understand what their diagnosis means for them and their relationships. Maybe you suspect you are one of the great undiagnosed, maybe you have a diagnosis and what to seek to understand who you are and what it means for you to navigate the work whilst unravelling the layers of masks you have acquired over a lifetime. Maybe you are a partner or relative of someone with neurodiversity and you're seeking to understand how you can communicate and support your person better. We will seek to build a framework, some scaffolding around whatever your scenario is so you can move more sure footed through the world.
My counselling approach is grounded with a person-centered base, this means that I encourage autonomy and empowerment within my clients. My model of working draws upon other theories such as;
Psychodynamic- looking at how our past experiences impact on our everyday lives whether that be consciously or unconsciously.
Transactional analysis -looking at patterns of how individuals relate to themselves, others, and the world around them.
Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy -looking at and challenging patterns within thoughts and behaviour.
This holistic model encourages an understanding and exploration of thoughts, processes and emotional concerns.
I have additional training and experience with trauma, shame and neurodiversity.
Coming soon: EMDR, Trauma stabilisation.
